"Knowing others is wisdom, knowing yourself is Enlightenment." - Lao Tzu
The Mandala Assessment Research Instrument (MARI) is based on the Jungian idea that there are symbols and colors that have common meanings among all people.
Doing the MARI takes about 1-1/2 hours. You choose shapes and colors that appeal to you. Then these shapes and colors are place on a board that shows where your cards and colors fit in the "Cycle of Life." We talk about where you are in relation to different stages of life such as Entry, Beginning, Struggle, Identity, Endings, and Transformation. Each color and shape combination has a different possible meaning. We discuss those possibilities.
The MARI is not about finding out what is "wrong" with you. It is about seeing where you are in at the current time with regard to your life path. Discussions evolve around self-exploration. Where are you now? Where do you want to go? How do you view the world? What is your ideal self?
After the session, I write and report and send it to you. It is food for thought and usually gives you directions of the future. It will give you something to think about.
